The Hauchzart Ensemble – Calicomb
Matt Getchell (USA) and Wilfried Hanrath (Germany) are a transatlantic duo within the wide-spread fields of ambient music with many nuances.

Portland, Oregon based Matt Getchell is an excellent electronic musician, part of the local electronic and experimental music scene, with many releases on Soundcloud.

Wuppertal based Wilfried Hanrath is a multi-genre multi instrumentalist with his roots in Krautrock and fusion, but with a deep love for electronic music. He is member of an orchestra for improvised music, founder of an art-rock band and busy as a solo performer.

The music they create is based on Matt´s compositions, recomposed and reworked by Wilfried. Track no. 5 on this album is an exception, it features Gunglon like Matt composed and recorded it; track no. 6, Gunglon Alabaster, is the recomposed and reworked rendition by Wilfried Hanrath.

Collaborations with other musicians like Leonel Cardoso and ./noise add a fresh und unexpected touch to their music.

All tracks were edited and mixed by Matt Getchell, with a final mastering by Wilfried Hanrath. We would like to thank Leonel Cardoso for his wonderful renditons of Glinnis and Colliemission Doubleong.

Karol Firmanty gave his permission to use his track NREM from his album senna firmanty.bandcamp.com in track no. 9 Calicomb, for which we are very grateful. NREM and an extended ambient version of Calicomb were woven into each other according to the instructions for the disquiet junto project 0351 earlier this year.
